About our Program

See Something...Know Something...Say Something! Anonymously! Contact Crime Stoppers.

Crime Stoppers of Racine County was incorporated in 1989 by a dedicated group of concerned citizens desiring for safer communities and lower crime.  This community group created the Crime Stoppers of Racine County as a tax exempt organization working in close cooperation with law enforcement agencies throughout Racine County.  The Crime Stoppers Board of Directors, comprised of local concerned citizens, governs and operates the Crime Stoppers of Racine County.

The concept has developed into a combination of efforts by local media, businesses, civic and social clubs, law enforcement agencies, and the public. Donations of airtime, newspaper space, and reward monies have established Crime Stoppers as an effective tool to fight crime in the area.

Mission Statement

Crime Stoppers is comprised of diverse, active and dedicated community representatives. Crime Stoppers provides a method for local law enforcement to receive information on crimes. These efforts increase tips, which in turn increase arrests in our community.

Crime Stoppers succeeds by offering anonymity to those that may have information about a past crime, a potential crime or a criminal.  Apathy and fear or reprisal are sometimes the main deterrent for good citizens in not coming forward with this information.  Crime Stoppers, by offering anonymity, takes away some of this fear and may offer a reward of up to $1,000 if the information leads to an arrest.
